 So this week was a PR blitz for me at work and at LABuzShop.com. I had to deal with a celebu-tard while they performed in Atlantic City, NJ. The windmills in the center of the city (if you can even call it a proper city is up for debate) are cool, the Borgata was nice but AC is really depressing. So low rent... Anyway, after the celebu-tard’s performance responsibilities were fulfilled they proceeded to plop down at the black jack table thus finishing my day of babysitting. So brilliant! I then proceeded to the international newsstand to PU the most amazing EU and Asian magazines – so expensive but so worth it! While pursuing the assortment I noticed Cosmopolitan en Español had Ali Larter wearing LANDVER stud earrings and the spiked bracelet on the cover and inside as well. So Hot! I grabbed a couple copies then I saw Kelly Orbourne wearing LANDVER spiked bracelets in this week’s People Magazine. Not to be outdone this week, Rashida Jones was featured in US Weekly for her role in the new movie “I Love You Man” wore a wrap bracelet from Kidada for Disney Couture, it helps that they’re sisters... Then I noticed Joel Madden wearing the LANDVER spike stud earrings on the cover of the same US Weekly at Rashida’s story. Apparently, Joel Madden wears those stud earrings all the time. Peering into STAR I noticed Ashley Tisdale sporting the exclusive Kidada for Kitson Wrap Bracelet in a story on dog accessories. Whoa! That’s a lot of celebrity seeding... Even after all that SWAG – seeding was pulled out I have to say that the best placement was on Monday (3/23) when Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl) wore the NYLON Deer Head ring in several scenes. I’m most proud that the wardrobe department loves the jewelry we send them for the stars of the show... Sometimes working in PR has more than just perks...  Palm Springs was amazing! I stayed at the Riviera Hotel (www.psriviera.com) in the center of Palm Springs and never left the property. The Riviera was so romantic yet totally “get down and party, bitches!” atmosphere by the pool. On Saturday by the poolside, I rocked my LANDVER spike stud earrings 9 the matching LANDVER single stone pendant and topped it off with the platinum plated strand bracelet. My awesome white with aqua and mint polka dot bikini sat on my hips just right… so 60’s, it was fab. I was also wearing my white Armani wedges (I know white is a no-no before Memorial Day but fashion rules are loose in SoCal). The whole ensemble was complimented with a tres chic printed chiffon cover up. The boys lounging about the pool gave me mad style points! Called me out on my Gucci Palm Springs style. You just gotta love an opportunity to be boldly fabulous. The whole hotel has been renovated super hipster style and the staff was really awesome. They were so nice that I thought… How is that possible? Alex the manager never leaves the hotel and doesn’t stop doing stuff yet is always gracious with guests. Chris the Bellman is adorable! Chatty, goofy with stains down the front of his shirt but so sweet. For the drive back on Sunday we set aside time to shoot the new Pocahontas jewelry from Kidada for Disney Couture that I “borrowed” from the baller showroom, which I have to drop back to them today… The pictures came out so great that once they’re cleaned I’ll start posting them… This week I’ll be blogging from beautiful downtown Atlantic City, one of our celebu-tard clients is working there and I’m on babysitting duty… Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.  I have to say there is an ominous feeling around the office today. Two celeb-tard clients have jumped ship to another firm. Luckily it’s not Cruellla’s clients so I’m safe from the head-rolling brigade. Sometimes the politics in an office are scarier than any gory horror film. Jason has nothing over my boss… The good news it that I’ve been getting mad compliments on my NYLON jewelry. I started the week with the adorable robot necklace with shiny leggings and ending it with the deer head ring and necklace. I’m leaving for Palm Springs this afternoon so I’m getting my Rock Star on early… Back to NYLON, I love that magazine and the website is pretty cool too. I’m so excited to have the jewelry collection on LABuzzShop.com. The line has several cuties rockin’ designs from Leighten Meister to Lauren Conrad to Mischa Barton. I had the pleasure of meeting Marvin and Dani from NYLON at PROJECT this year in Las Vegas.  I’m so excited to go to Palm Springs this weekend with a new boy. He’s a photographer that I met while babysitting a celebu-tard client during a photo-shoot a couple of weeks ago. He’s totally hot and funny but has a baby mama so that’s a drag… Anyway we’re going out to the desert to hang out at the gorgeous Riviera Hotel. I decided to take the coveted new Kidada for Disney Couture Pocahontas samples to shoot pictures for LABuzzShop.com. The samples are from this totally baller showroom so I have to be careful with them. I also got a glimpse of the new Kitson Jewelry and handbags at the MAGIC Convention in February. They’ll be on LABuzzShop.com come summer time. I’ll post new images for your viewing pleasure soon. FYI, The Kitson Robots Rock! The new Pocahontas line from Disney Couture won’t be available for a few more weeks, can’t wait; I’m totally stoked. It’s all Native American themed and the colors are great for summer too, right up the trend alley. All the magazines are showing “ethnic” or “native american” themes for summer so I guess Boho Chic is around for another year. Nicole Richie, Mary Kate Olsen and Rachel Zoe must be happy since that’s the only way they seem to dress these days. I’ll be hitting a few clubs tonight in LA and hopefully I’ll have some juicy tidbits to share tomorrow.  Neon is dope but is now being grossly abused by too many schlock designers. Unlike the totally cute Disney Couture Collection, which has cute neon pink and green pieces - many accessories are going in the WRONG direction. People! We have the benefit of hindsight, we can cherry pick the cool 80’s and leave the rest to bad pop schlock history. Ok, so the neon trend really got to me last night when I went to the hot new club in LA called “My House” – Yes that’s really the name and yes it’s that pretentious. Anyway, the club promoter – Brick - Yes that’s really his name and yes he’s really that pretentious too. LOL So back to Brick’s party… He has all the lil’ hotties running wild but they dress like such s**t, way too trendy without any real personal style. BTW No Celebs at this party – after award season everyone clears out. Thus the club scene is left to the hipsters, they really need to understand that NEON is an accent not a fashion movement. Just because you are a cute size 2 doesn’t give you the room to be head-to-toe trend-oid in NEON. News flash – it didn’t look right when my older sister wore it 20 years ago and it still doesn’t today… Neon has the potential to accent an outfit in a fun – Punky Brewster way- Just don’t go over board like George Michael in WHAM! Punch up an outfit with a pair of hoops or a couple of bangles from Disney Couture and leave the rest to VH1 Classics. Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land. Love, Didi | ||
