Palm Springs was amazing! I stayed at the Riviera Hotel (www.psriviera.com) in the center of Palm Springs and never left the property. The Riviera was so romantic yet totally “get down and party, bitches!” atmosphere by the pool.
On Saturday by the poolside, I rocked my LANDVER spike stud earrings 9 the matching LANDVER single stone pendant and topped it off with the platinum plated strand bracelet. My awesome white with aqua and mint polka dot bikini sat on my hips just right… so 60’s, it was fab. I was also wearing my white Armani wedges (I know white is a no-no before Memorial Day but fashion rules are loose in SoCal). The whole ensemble was complimented with a tres chic printed chiffon cover up. The boys lounging about the pool gave me mad style points! Called me out on my Gucci Palm Springs style. You just gotta love an opportunity to be boldly fabulous.
The whole hotel has been renovated super hipster style and the staff was really awesome. They were so nice that I thought… How is that possible? Alex the manager never leaves the hotel and doesn’t stop doing stuff yet is always gracious with guests. Chris the Bellman is adorable! Chatty, goofy with stains down the front of his shirt but so sweet.
For the drive back on Sunday we set aside time to shoot the new Pocahontas jewelry from Kidada for Disney Couture that I “borrowed” from the baller showroom, which I have to drop back to them today… The pictures came out so great that once they’re cleaned I’ll start posting them…
This week I’ll be blogging from beautiful downtown Atlantic City, one of our celebu-tard clients is working there and I’m on babysitting duty…
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

I have to say there is an ominous feeling around the office today. Two celeb-tard clients have jumped ship to another firm. Luckily it’s not Cruellla’s clients so I’m safe from the head-rolling brigade. Sometimes the politics in an office are scarier than any gory horror film. Jason has nothing over my boss…
The good news it that I’ve been getting mad compliments on my NYLON jewelry. I started the week with the adorable robot necklace with shiny leggings and ending it with the deer head ring and necklace. I’m leaving for Palm Springs this afternoon so I’m getting my Rock Star on early…
Back to NYLON, I love that magazine and the website is pretty cool too. I’m so excited to have the jewelry collection on LABuzzShop.com. The line has several cuties rockin’ designs from Leighten Meister to Lauren Conrad to Mischa Barton. I had the pleasure of meeting Marvin and Dani from NYLON at PROJECT this year in Las Vegas. They were so super hipster cool as only people from NYC can be… BTW That girl parties like a true Rock Star!
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

Neon is dope but is now being grossly abused by too many schlock designers. Unlike the totally cute Disney Couture Collection, which has cute neon pink and green pieces - many accessories are going in the WRONG direction. People! We have the benefit of hindsight, we can cherry pick the cool 80’s and leave the rest to bad pop schlock history.
Ok, so the neon trend really got to me last night when I went to the hot new club in LA called “My House” – Yes that’s really the name and yes it’s that pretentious. Anyway, the club promoter – Brick - Yes that’s really his name and yes he’s really that pretentious too. LOL So back to Brick’s party… He has all the lil’ hotties running wild but they dress like such s**t, way too trendy without any real personal style. BTW No Celebs at this party – after award season everyone clears out. Thus the club scene is left to the hipsters, they really need to understand that NEON is an accent not a fashion movement. Just because you are a cute size 2 doesn’t give you the room to be head-to-toe trend-oid in NEON. News flash – it didn’t look right when my older sister wore it 20 years ago and it still doesn’t today…
Neon has the potential to accent an outfit in a fun – Punky Brewster way- Just don’t go over board like George Michael in WHAM! Punch up an outfit with a pair of hoops or a couple of bangles from Disney Couture and leave the rest to VH1 Classics.
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

Rae-Rae and I (aka LA BuzzShop.com) went to the Grammy’s gifting suite to SWAG talent at 717 condos just across the street from the Staples Center. The suite was so nice and the food was really good. The talent was ok… Lots of reality hot mess walking through.
Currently you can check out our virtual gifting suite on Hot 92.3’s website at http://www.hot923.com/pages/GNO2009/giftroom.html
The highlight of who got what:
Duffy – looked super cute in the Kidada for Disney Couture Wrap bracelet. Her British accent is so adorable!
Christina Milian – is a super SWAG HAG and grabbed some up Kidada for Disney Couture, specifically the treasure chest necklace.
Keri Hilson – Loved her new Playmate of the Month necklace by Playboy Jewelry
The rest of the talent was reality hot mess so we’re not giving them any props…
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

 WHY WE LOVE LANDVER:
LABuzzShop.com is so excited to finally have our good friend and brilliant designer - Jason Landver’s new fine jewelry line – LANDVER – just in time for the Holidays.
LANDVER’s adoring celebrity fans include Rhianna, Mandy Moore, and Fergie. Check out the Press/News section of LA BuzzShop.com to see his stunning placements in WWD, ELLE, In Style and Harper’s Bazaar. We launched his line on this site with a WhoWhatWear.com piece. Nice…
Ranging between $100 and $1,000 retail, LANDVER fills a void between trendy costume jewelry and high-end looks that, while beautiful, are often outside our fashion-loving budget. He places amethyst, rock crystal and onyx, in sterling silver settings with either platinum plating or yellow gold vermeil.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER:
Unlike the other items featured in this site, Jason Landver developed and patented every gemstone shape, infusing each style with his unique vision.
Building on his concept of custom cut stones LANDVER will feature four groupings: Solitaire, Tennis, Strand, and Spike. Solitaire is one large, dramatic chunk of nature that is organically cut, with prongs that are an integral part of the design. The Tennis collection will feature the classic setting but done with Art Deco-style triangular stones that create a geometric line. The Strand collection is exactly that, a sixty-inch chain set with large stones to be artfully wrapped any which way around wrists and necks. The Spike collection is fashion-forward and, as Landver notes, “It’s the most wild of the collection.”
LANDVER also toys with traditional notions of “stones”—some pieces feature platinum plated - sterling silver stones fashioned in the same shapes as the real gems. The collection focuses on classics, so that nothing is ephemeral but rather is easily incorporated into a women’s personal style season-after-season. Landver’s personal touches, like the custom cut stones, limited editions and the unique twists of design like metal stones keep LANDVER from being “just another jewelry collection.”

Disney Princess + Nicole Richie = just another day’s work.
Knowing all of the words to Aladdin is quite a skill, but unless you’re babysitting, there’s not really much use for it.
Unless of course, you’re Kidada Jones, the LA scene queen whose childhood friend is Nicole Richie, sister is Rashida Jones from The Office, and whose recent foray into jewelry design merges Hollywood with the Magic Kingdom.
Kidada is the creative genius behind Kidada for Disney Couture, a line of cartoon-inspired jewelry that’s actually quite grown-up. There are chunky gold rings inspired by Cinderella’s castle, charm bracelets crafted with Alice in Wonderland, and magic mirror necklaces straight out of Snow White.
We asked the L.A. native about her designs…
Do you remember the first piece of jewelry that you designed? Yes. It was the Tink bamboo earrings in 2005.
What’s your favorite Disney movie, for fun? What’s your favorite Disney movie, for style? My favorite Disney movie for fun is probably Finding Nemo. And for style, I would say Peter Pan. That’s from my childhood, and the color palate is from the Golden Books, so I go back to that time for inspiration.
How did you decided to incorporate hip hop influences into your Kidada for Disney Couture collection? I would not call it hip hop. I see it more as urban, street inspiration. When I spent summers in NYC, when I was a teen, I always shopped on Canal Street, and could not get enough gold. It’s what I love. Also living in India when I was a teen exposed me to lots of gold.
What’s on your iPod right now? MGMT, Lil’ Wayne, The Dream, Estelle, Dwelle.
Why do you think you’re so successful (and you’re not allowed to say, I’m not successful). I think its because I’m a true consumer at heart. I’m always excited when I find something on the market place that speaks to me strongly, so I literally make the things I don’t see out there, that I want. Very simple. I also think Disney speaks to people’s hearts. So the combo works.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? What’s the worst advice you’ve ever gotten? Best advice? To develop a character for myself that I love and can live with, and that I’m proud of.
Worst advice? You only live once; do whatever you want.
