So this week was a PR blitz for me at work and at LABuzShop.com. I had to deal with a celebu-tard while they performed in Atlantic City, NJ. The windmills in the center of the city (if you can even call it a proper city is up for debate) are cool, the Borgata was nice but AC is really depressing. So low rent...
Anyway, after the celebu-tard’s performance responsibilities were fulfilled they proceeded to plop down at the black jack table thus finishing my day of babysitting. So brilliant!
I then proceeded to the international newsstand to PU the most amazing EU and Asian magazines – so expensive but so worth it! While pursuing the assortment I noticed Cosmopolitan en Español had Ali Larter wearing LANDVER stud earrings and the spiked bracelet on the cover and inside as well. So Hot! I grabbed a couple copies then I saw Kelly Orbourne wearing LANDVER spiked bracelets in this week’s People Magazine. Not to be outdone this week, Rashida Jones was featured in US Weekly for her role in the new movie “I Love You Man” wore a wrap bracelet from Kidada for Disney Couture, it helps that they’re sisters... Then I noticed Joel Madden wearing the LANDVER spike stud earrings on the cover of the same US Weekly at Rashida’s story. Apparently, Joel Madden wears those stud earrings all the time. Peering into STAR I noticed Ashley Tisdale sporting the exclusive Kidada for Kitson Wrap Bracelet in a story on dog accessories. Whoa! That’s a lot of celebrity seeding...
Even after all that SWAG – seeding was pulled out I have to say that the best placement was on Monday (3/23) when Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl) wore the NYLON Deer Head ring in several scenes. I’m most proud that the wardrobe department loves the jewelry we send them for the stars of the show... Sometimes working in PR has more than just perks... I felt a sense of accomplishment seeing all that press placement...
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

Welcome Recessionistas! Big shout out to everyone who visited LABuzzShop.com this weekend. We appreciate your patronage! Stores may be hurting but LA Buzz Shop is humming with Celebrity Style.
Right now most of my homies are pretty bummed because they’re either total empty pockets with some lint or kind of broke-ish. I’m pretty much always in the latter category so this recession is nothing new. Celebrity PR has SWAG perks but salaries are on the petite side, kind of like Nicole Richie.
Speaking of Ms. Richie - she was having a lovely time at Teddy’s last Friday with her husband and his twin bro - Benji & Joel Madden. Its ultra cute the way The Madden Twins escort Nicole everywhere. A potentially mortifying moment arose when my friend Christy, who just returned from Idaho (don’t ask me why she went up there but I assuming she went “Green Acres” over some boy) saw Nicole and was star struck, even followed her into the bathroom. It was a little amateur but at least Christy wasn’t that obvious. Earlier that same night, Nicole and The Maddens were at Chateau Marmont for a friend’s birthday dinner. I love Chateau Marmont! It’s so sexy and scandalous! New Year’s Eve at the Chateau is yummy. If you can swing it I highly recommend it.
Saturday was a workday of sorts. I went shopping with a client of the firm. Think of me as a “BFF for Hire”. FYI That little starlet needs to break her Kitson habit. Oye, can she charge it up! Anyway, shopping with talent is always funny because they know they’re being watched and so love the attention. That is until they’re not made up for camera or get busted picking their nose. LOL. Meanwhile, I was rockin’ my Disney Couture Tinker Bell necklace and Landver Spike Studs. Of course the starlet wanted both pieces so I told her I would send them over to her on Monday. Just call me Santa.
Later that day I had to make an appearance at our company Holiday party, I was hoping to not bump into my boss, Cruella but alas my luck had run out… She was blitzed and feeling fabulous so she gave me some money. She then explained that I should go to her salon and “straighten out my bob”. OMG she has no style. Hello!! It’s a Rihanna bob! After that little excursion into the twilight zone I was off to my super fab friend and brilliant make-up artist, Donald’s house for another Holiday party. Mingled with a few Celebrity stylists – FYI they always have the BEST gossip on talent. I check in with that crew to make sure none of our clients are in trouble. The evening wrapped up at Temporary Spaces on Normandy and Fountain. Nothing like a dive bar for last call…
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

I just want to give a shout out to my trusty biz partner at LABuzzShop.com, Rachel, Rae-Rae for short. She’s the woman! She makes sure that all of your orders go out nice and smooth. SO if you have any questions you can contact us at either Rachel@LABuzzShop.com or Didi@LABuzzShop.com. The holiday weekend was so busy we had a tremendous sale and it was received really well! So thank you to all of our new customers and you will be getting your new Disney Couture, Playboy and Warner Bothers jewelry ASAP.
We’ve had the excellent luck of being picked up by several editors who love the website and we’ve been able to SWAG a bunch of celebrities too. Thank heaven for my day job. LOL
Anyone catch our debut of LANDVER on WhoWearWhat.com? Or maybe the Kidada for Disney Couture Beauty and the Beast Rose Ring on Instyle.com? We’ve been able to SWAG Rhianna the gorgeous LANDVER jewelry she’s been sporting around town and Mandy Moore is obsessed with the LANDVER spike stud earrings. They’re so cute and affordable!
We’re on our way to launching a newsletter of sorts. Next week we are starting our own gift guide based on all the jewelry that the cast of Gossip Girl wears on the TV show! Apparently the wardrobe department at Gossip Girl has a thing for Disney Couture!
Since this weekend was with my family there aren’t any hot crazy party nights to report but have not fear I’ll be tearing it up soon.
Tune in for my next adventure in LA LA Land.

 WHY WE LOVE LANDVER:
LABuzzShop.com is so excited to finally have our good friend and brilliant designer - Jason Landver’s new fine jewelry line – LANDVER – just in time for the Holidays.
LANDVER’s adoring celebrity fans include Rhianna, Mandy Moore, and Fergie. Check out the Press/News section of LA BuzzShop.com to see his stunning placements in WWD, ELLE, In Style and Harper’s Bazaar. We launched his line on this site with a WhoWhatWear.com piece. Nice…
Ranging between $100 and $1,000 retail, LANDVER fills a void between trendy costume jewelry and high-end looks that, while beautiful, are often outside our fashion-loving budget. He places amethyst, rock crystal and onyx, in sterling silver settings with either platinum plating or yellow gold vermeil.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER:
Unlike the other items featured in this site, Jason Landver developed and patented every gemstone shape, infusing each style with his unique vision.
Building on his concept of custom cut stones LANDVER will feature four groupings: Solitaire, Tennis, Strand, and Spike. Solitaire is one large, dramatic chunk of nature that is organically cut, with prongs that are an integral part of the design. The Tennis collection will feature the classic setting but done with Art Deco-style triangular stones that create a geometric line. The Strand collection is exactly that, a sixty-inch chain set with large stones to be artfully wrapped any which way around wrists and necks. The Spike collection is fashion-forward and, as Landver notes, “It’s the most wild of the collection.”
LANDVER also toys with traditional notions of “stones”—some pieces feature platinum plated - sterling silver stones fashioned in the same shapes as the real gems. The collection focuses on classics, so that nothing is ephemeral but rather is easily incorporated into a women’s personal style season-after-season. Landver’s personal touches, like the custom cut stones, limited editions and the unique twists of design like metal stones keep LANDVER from being “just another jewelry collection.”
